good  neighbor build

Would your church like to help

build a home in 2009?

A Good Neighbor Build is a multi-church build.  It allows individual churches or a coalition of churches to put God's love in action building a Habitat for Humanity home.  The churches raise the money and provide the labor and prayer support to build a house in partnership with a local family.  It is a way of going out into the community to serve others.  The goal is to have at least 12 units participate.  A unit can be one church or a coalition of churches.

Each unit will be responsible to raise $5,000, to provide 250 hours of volunteer labor at the work site and three Saturday lunches at the build site for workers.

A steering committee with respresentatives from various churches, as well as the Missoula Habitat for Humanity Church Relations Committee will oversee the project implementation.  Each unit will also designate a liaison to work with the steering committee.
